Edincare acquired by Tricel
June 14, 2023
We are delighted to announce that Tricel has acquired Edincare.
Tricel is a multinational company offering market-leading products and services in over 50 countries. The company serves various markets, including water storage tanks, pumps and pumping solutions, sewage treatment tanks, construction products, as well as the distribution of composites and lubricants.
This exciting development is a testament to our sustained year-on-year growth, strong product offering, expansive range of services, and our commitment to quality. With the support of the Tricel Group, it will enable us to grow, improve, and explore new opportunities for years to come.
Customers, suppliers, and distributors will not be affected by this acquisition. Our business will continue to operate as Edincare Pumps, Edincare Drains, and Edincare Plastics. It will remain our top priority to provide high-quality products and services. Additionally, we will retain our current management team.
Our commitment to innovation will continue in the coming months as we launch new products and add to our service fleet.
“Considering Tricel’s position in water storage and wastewater in the UK”, Andrew Davies said, “Tricel is a natural fit with Edincare Pumps. With a group as diverse as Tricel, we have an exciting opportunity to increase our operations and product offerings in the UK market.”
Mike Stack, CEO of the Tricel Group, said: “Having acquired Edincare Pumps, we are strengthening our position in the UK water market. Our corporate culture is similar, focusing on customer service, teamwork, and hard work. With the acquisition, we will be able to provide a higher level of technical expertise and water solutions to the UK market.”
About Tricel Group
Anne Stack and Con Stack founded Tricel in 1973. This year marks the company’s 50th anniversary. It began with producing products made from glass-reinforced plastics (GRP). By implementing a comprehensive growth strategy in the 1990s and 2000s, it expanded exports and established manufacturing facilities throughout the UK and Europe.
The Tricel Group, headquartered in Killarney, comprises 15 companies across Europe, including seven manufacturing facilities. Over 600 people are employed at these locations. A key strategy for the company has been to manufacture locally, export, partner with local distributors, and acquire companies that enhance its product capabilities and geographical reach.
The company’s roadmap for growth in the next five years will focus on three main pillars: Customer Excellence, Innovation, and Sustainability.
