We were called to an emergency breakdown of a twin-pump, floor mounted pumping station which removes waste water from a commercial kitchen. On investigation we discovered that one of the pumps was faulty and the system was in overall poor condition. Due to its condition, we judged that it was more cost effective to replace the pumping station entirely rather than make repairs.
METHOD
• We provided a like-for-like replacement pumping station.
• It was installed out of hours to ensure the shop could maintain trade.
• We fully wet tested the unit to ensure it was ready for trading the following day.
• We disposed of the old pumping station.
RESULT
• Replacing rather than repairing the pumping station gave the customer complete peace of mind.
• The new pumping has a 12 month manufacturer warranty.
• We are able to source suitable pumps from our vast stock holding.
• Being able to offer like-for-like avoids costly modifications to fit an alternative.
• We identified the faults with the previous pumping station during a preventative maintenance visit, highlighting the value of our servicing.
• The shop was able to continue trading throughout our works.
