Job title Technical Sales Administrator
Job location Edincare Head Office (Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire)
Salary £26,000 – £30,000 + bonus/commission (subject to experience)

About the role

As a Technical Sales Administrator, you will report to the Sales Director and work in an enthusiastic office based Sales team. The role will provide you with an opportunity to progress your office administration skills and experience of sales, with the plan to develop your technical knowledge of our product range and thereby enable you to raise sales specifications and quotations for our entire product range.

As a Technical Sales Administrator your responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Provision of general administrative assistance to the Sales Department;
  • Converting raw customer enquiries into technical specifications and quotations which are tailored to suit client’s requirements;
  • Logging and chasing sales quotations in line with our company procedure;
  • Logging sales orders in line with the company’s procedures;
  • Communication of these sales orders to the Production Department;
  • Raising purchase orders and invoices for these sales orders in line with the company’s procedure.

About you

If you are currently in a Sales Administrator role or are currently working as a Sales Administrator or in another form of office administration, this is the ideal next step in your career.

Essential Skills and Competencies of the Technical Sales Administrator:

  • Computer literate; thorough working knowledge of MS Office, with use of database systems a strong advantage;
  • Competent business administration skills;
  • Educated to a high standard;
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
  • The ability to deal professionally with customers;
  • Constructive interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work independently or as a member of a team
  • A positive personality and helpful disposition.

Desired Skills and Competencies of the Technical Sales Administrator:

  • Experience in the pumped drainage industry or related service industry.

The successful candidate should live locally and will ideally have previously worked in Sales Administration.
