Train Wash Down – Doncaster

REQUIREMENT

This Doncaster based company reconditions wheels and bogies for the rail industry. The first stage of this process involves removing oil, grease and soil using high pressure, hot water, detergent mix jet washers. Waste from the process is filtered into an initial silt trap for settlement of solids before a separator collects hydrocarbons.

Edincare was asked by the treatment plant designers to design two differently specified packaged pumping stations to work in unison with this treatment process.

METHOD

Following in-depth consultation with the client, we learned their exact requirements and were able to specify two packaged pumping stations using specialist pumps from our diverse range of suppliers. The building contractor carried out the excavation and installed the tank prior to Edincare’s arrival onsite. Our multi-skilled engineers installed the equipment including all M&E works and conducted a full wet-test.

RESULT

•  Using our extensive experience, we were able to specify the products. The pumping stations were installed and commissioned ready for building handover.
•  With the treatment plant designers, we fully wet-tested the system to ensure that it operated within the set parameters.
